Strangers with Candy

So, a few months back, my bff posted that Manic Mom was having a candy giveaway. I was feeling rotten and I suspect that although she says she drew names, she decided to send me some chocolates to cheer me up. I had requested Milky Ways, especially the dark ones. When I received the package there were a bunch of Milky Way Dark miniatures and a bunch of gigantor Milky Way bars. She had included a note saying that there had been more darks, but you know what happened to them. I laughed so hard I almost peed. And then I went back to the couch or bed where I'd been wrapped in a blanket crying. Occasionally, I would peek out and grab some more chocolates and feel better for a while.

So, now I'm finally feeling a little better. Meds are kicking in and I finally saw the new shrink. And finally getting around to posting about it. And thanking a complete and total stranger for her kindness and for the chocolates. Ryan says thanks, too.

I figured that this was an appropriate post for today. I gave some of my students candies today. I put them in the freaking cool Halloween lab glassware that my bff gave me. The kids were teasing me that they're not supposed to eat out of glassware, which means that they're listening to something I'm saying. They didn't take much convincing that it was safe and snarfed down all the Starbursts. Happy Halloween, all!

In random news, Pink Floyd is the background music for the local Weather Channel forecast. Is that cool or does it just make me 300 years old? I fear it's the latter.

So glad you like that stuff! It just looked like you. :)

I've never thought Pink Floyd was cool, so I'm not the one to ask.
