A Stain in Your Pants

Ryan and I finally watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was okay. It seemed a little thin. I realize distilling a 700pp. book into a 2-hour movie is a challenge. But, our favorite part was something we almost missed. The song at the end of the credits. Did anyone hear it?

Ryan was saying it was like a parody. The kind of embarrassing song that even would make a mother cringe. The worst is the final line. There's this pause, like it's going to be something profound. Oh, no. Ryan kept coming up with alternate final lines...

A pile of ants...
The King of France...
Rosencrantz...

And my favorite: the title of this post. I laughed until I nearly, well...

-------------------------------------------------------
Magic Works
And dance your final dance
This is your final chance
To hold the one you love
You know you've waited long enough

So,

Believe that magic works
Don't be afraid
Of bein' hurt
Don't let this magic die
The answer's there
Oh, just look in her eyes

And make
Your final move
Mmm, don't be scared
She wants you to
It's hard
You must be brave
Don't let this moment slip the way

Believe that magic works
Don't be afraid
Afraid of bein' hurt
No, don't let this magic die
Ooh, the answer's there
Yeah, just look in her eyes

And don't believe that magic can die
No, no, no, this magic can't die
So dance, your final dance.
'Cause this is, your final chance.

Y'all are dirty and wrong. I totally missed that song. :) He's right though.

We saw order of the phoenix on Friday. I felt the same way. Good, but SO MUCH they had to leave out.

Missed that last song. Thanks for sharing! :-) We usually stay for every single line to scroll by...it's an obsession of mine...but we were rushing out and I'm not even sure why.

The movie was okay in and of itself but in relation to the whole literary series, I found it to be lacking.

I am seriously looking forward to midnight Friday.
