Design Show Pet Peeves

I'm home early from work! And watching design shows while I write Christmas cards. Here are some things I have to just say that annoy me:

"From the 1900's." Oh, wow, that must be an antique!
"glammy" I swear this woman used that word 45 times in a half hour show. There is an adjective for what you're trying to describe: GLAMOROUS!

Okay, that's all I got before I almost threw the remote at the TV.

Did she mean ten years ago? Anytime during the 20th century? Because really, I think of the 1900s in that sense as being the years 1900-1910. Otherwise, she's dumb. :)

Granted, it was a Victrola, so it could have been pre-WWI, but that's still pushing it, in my mind.

But mostly it annoyed me because he was saying it was like George Washington used it or something.

hold it a sec, you're saying the Abe Lincoln iPod I bought last week might not be genuine?...

I think Honest Abe was a PC guy, actually.

glammy?
What?
I've never heard anyone say that, and it would annoy me too.

feel free to turn it into a drinking game. Everytime she uses the word---you drink. It might make the show more enjoyable.
