Champagne tastes on a Boone's Farm budget

I read this article on a few ways to be able to afford quality furniture without going into major debt. Or minor debt. One of the duh-that's-obvious-but-I-hadn't-considered-it ideas was to find a quality piece that you want and then save for it. Strategically save for it. Do your monthly payments before you buy it.

We don't "need" anything right now or even in the near future, but it's nice to think about things for the future.

This is a very Dave Ramsey idea. So smart. One day we are going to want new bedroom furniture. We really should start putting away for it now, but the thought of saving money that could go to paying off debt makes new bedroom furniture seem less apealing. Becuase it is. I want to be able to scream WE'RE DEBT FREE on his radio show sometime in the near future. Ya know, like within the next ten years. :)
