New haircut!

I am currently obsessing over the hairstyles of the actresses on Cashmere Mafia. I love, love, love Miranda Otto's hair, but I don't think mine would do that. Also, I don't think I can pull off red. I am fair, but I have some yellow undertones to my skin and I don't think there's a shade of red that would work. I love Lucy Liu's hair!

So, even Ryan thinks my hair is too long. I'm not talking about the chin-length bob that I used to have. I'm thinking just below my shoulders with long bangs. Do you think any of these styles would work with my long face and thick, wavy hair?

I think they're all pretty styles and pretty darn similar, just different on the different actresses because of their hair types. I'd recommend picking your favorite, taking it to your hairstylist and asking them if they think your hair will do the style. I'm guessing you'll want lots of layers cut in, put in a curl enhancing product, towel dry while scrunching, then dry with a diffuser set to low heat to keep the curls. Then finish with some shine spray. Or you could probably go with really large hot rollers if you've showered at night. But I'm not a hairstylist and really I have no clue where I pulled those instructions from!

I vote for #1 but they are all booootiful. Hard choice I must say!

Julie, that sounds like a great idea! Hopefully I'll get a chance to do a cut and color on Thursday. My white hair is getting me down.

Alane, I'm with you, although I worry about the first one's shorter bangs. I've had bad luck with bangs. I have a serious cowlick right in the front. But I agree that they're all great.

At any rate, it's nice to see some hairstyles that don't involve a flat iron. Not only is my hair wavy/frizzy, but I live in a constantly humid climate.

oooh, Miranda Otto! just loved her in the Rings movies, and stumbled across the pilot of that show a couple months ago, even watched for a few minutes just to see her play an American. was weird to see her as a redhead.

look up her listing on imdb.com. Her dad, Barry Otto, was in one of my favorite quirky Australian movies, "Strictly Ballroom" (Baz Luhrmann's first movie)...

I lurve Miranda Otto and loved her in the LOTR movies. It took me a while to connect who she was--I just knew that she was familiar. I suspect that it was the hair.

And her dad was Doug Hastings in Strictly Ballroom? How cool! I loved that movie!

These are all similar to what I want, and since I can't decide I haven't made an appointment just yet. I've been saying this for so long that I finally got it cut straight across, just because it needed SOMETHING and now I don't like it so really, I need to decide. Let us know which one you choose!
